We help businesses become brands

A business needs its own personality to be successful. The age of the internet brand and digital-first is here. If your business isn't a digital brand with an online experience, you're giving free money to your competitors.

No matter what your product or service – it can be made to look and feel unique with effort, time, market understanding, and most importantly, good design. This is called branding - what your business feels like to the consumer.

At Moldbreaker Studio, we break the molds. Depending on what positioning you want in the market and in the minds of your potential customers, we craft the perfect and most unique identity for you. We build experiences for your customers that are aligned to your USP. The branding tells the story you want to tell. Having a personality, in turn, helps you separate yourself out as a brand in the industry and build your own customer base, advocacy, and trust.

What do you get with our studio:

From market research to design execution, everything will be fine-tuned towards your brand positioning. And it will be thoroughly reviewed to be unique, refined, and built meticulously with attention to detail.

Our process isn't rocket science.

It's not something we've discovered.
It's something that has always worked.
We just do it really, really well.

Soda cup

You see Sprite and you feel "refreshment". You get a Mountain Dew and the feeling changes to “rocket fuel”. This is branding -- what the consumer feels about your product. Brands have been working on designing a personality for their products since the 19th century. This personality has to be unique to you, or you lose to competition.

Unless you can come up with a breakthrough soft drink that only you can manufacture and has something revolutionarily different about it, you need branding and pixel-perfect identity design in order to increase your market share. If you can indeed manufacture a product like that, you can only hope that it goes viral for an indefinite amount of time to make money. In other words, you have no control without branding in either scenario.

Diet Coke was an example of something revolutionarily different from conventional soft drinks. But then other players entered the market to saturated it, and branding became the most critical tool once more. Do you know that other players had already been producing diet soft drinks since 1878? Nobody knows of them right now. But Diet Coke, coming from Coca-Cola, had an amazing branding and a unique positioning. Long story short, it’s the most-selling diet soft drink on the planet.

Without a personality, your brand will stumble. We're not the only ones doing this. In-house design teams of most of the big brands follow this. But not everyone can afford a full in-house design team. That's where we come in.

Most definitely, Sprite, Coke, and Diet Coke are trademarks of The Coca-Cola Company. Mountain Dew is a trademark of PepsiCo. We drink them all.

What you're up against: Bricks.

Conventional branding is mold-based branding. In fact, it's not to be considered branding at all. It's just graphic design done for some money.

Brick kiln

A mold is a container. For example, a kiln mass produces bricks. And the cast or mold for the bricks makes sure all the bricks are the same. Basic graphic design also uses a similar process (that's why we call it brick design). No matter what or who the client is, the budget is, the industry is, the way of market is, the target group is, or the consumer psychographics are at play, the designer uses the same mold. The same process & mentality for each project.

Along this conveyor belt of sorts, all hopes of uniqueness, personality, and brand appeal are fried and baked just as a brick is before it becomes just another brick in the wall.

Your business doesn’t need to be a brick. It should be a work of art. And quite similarly to an artist like Rembrandt, we try to evoke feelings through our work to express your brand’s uniqueness. Like Mozart, we also believe our medium is a problem-solving language. Hard work, research, and strategic planning are all prerequisites to good design. The Moldbreaking process ensures there are parameters in place that make this technical part happen. And once we have clear goals, impressive ideas, and functional approaches -- creativity, experience, talent, and a caffeine overdose take the helm to produce work that has the quality and uniqueness to build breakthrough branding.
